Questions

What goes on an electrician invoice?

Your business name and contact, the client and job address, the date and invoice number, then each line: labour hours, the service call, and parts like cable, outlets and switches. Add tax if you charge it, the total, and how to pay.

Can a quote become an invoice?

In all seven apps you can send an estimate (Jobber calls it a quote). In Wow Invoice you turn it into an invoice with one tap when the client says yes.

Does my client need the app?

Not with Wow Invoice. Your client gets a link that opens in any browser and can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay from it.

What is the cheapest for one electrician?

Wow Invoice and Square Invoices are free to download. Of the paid plans checked on 21 Oct 2026, Invoice Simple starts at $6.99 a month for 3 invoices and Joist at $12 a month for 5 documents. Jobber starts at $49 and Housecall Pro at $79 a month on monthly billing.

Does it work outside the US?

Wow Invoice works in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian, with over 135 currencies. Joist payments are US and Canada only, and Joist is English only. Invoice Simple offers 23 languages.

What about ServiceTitan or FieldEdge?

They are built for larger electrical and HVAC companies with dispatchers and many techs, so we left them out of a list for solo and small-crew electricians.
